浏览器 AI 桌宠助手（Browser AI Pet Assistant，下称"本插件"）是一个开源 Chrome 插件。开发者不运营任何服务器，不收集、不出售、不分享你的任何数据。本插件处理的数据要么只保存在你的浏览器里，要么在你使用相应功能时由浏览器直接发送给下文列出的第三方服务。

保存在你本机的数据

API Key 和设置：保存在 chrome.storage.sync。如果你开启了 Chrome 同步，它们会随你的 Google 账号同步到你的其他设备，开发者无法访问。
聊天记录：保存在浏览器的 IndexedDB 里，可以在设置页查看、导出、删除或全部清空。
专属形象：生成或导入的形象图片保存在 chrome.storage.local。
浏览记录标题的向量：为了按意思搜索浏览历史，本插件会在本机计算网页标题的向量并缓存，计算过程不联网。

卸载插件时，以上本地数据会被浏览器一并删除。

会发送给第三方的数据（仅在你使用相应功能时）

Google Gemini API（generativelanguage.googleapis.com）：你发送的消息、最近的对话上下文、你要求总结或提问的网页内容、为回答问题而查询到的标签页/书签/浏览历史/聊天记录条目，以及生成专属形象时上传的图片。请求使用你自己的 API Key，受 Gemini API 服务条款和 Google 隐私政策约束。开启"隐私优先模式"后，对话和网页内容只用本地模型处理，不会发送给 Gemini（生成专属形象除外）。
DuckDuckGo：你让桌宠查资料时的搜索词；桌宠读取搜索结果网页或你消息里的链接时，会直接访问这些网址。
Open-Meteo：查询天气时的城市名。
Hugging Face（或你选择的镜像 hf-mirror.com）：下载本地模型文件，不发送任何个人数据。
语音输入：使用 Chrome 内置的语音识别，音频由浏览器按 Google 的政策处理。

权限用途

在所有网站上运行：在你浏览的网页上显示桌宠，并在你要求时读取当前网页内容。
标签页：在你要求时列出、切换、打开或关闭标签页（关闭前会请你确认）。
书签、浏览历史：在你提问时搜索你的书签和浏览历史，只读，不修改。
存储、无限存储：在本机保存设置、聊天记录和专属形象。
离屏文档：在后台运行本地模型和向量计算。

儿童

本插件不面向 13 岁以下儿童，也不会有意收集儿童信息。

Browser AI Pet Assistant Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Browser AI Pet Assistant ("the extension") is an open-source Chrome extension. The developer runs no servers and does not collect, sell or share any of your data. Data handled by the extension either stays in your browser, or is sent directly from your browser to the third-party services listed below when you use the related feature.

Data stored on your device

API key and settings are stored in chrome.storage.sync. If Chrome Sync is on, they sync to your other devices through your Google account. The developer cannot access them.
Chat history is stored in the browser's IndexedDB. You can view, export, delete or clear it on the settings page.
Custom pets you generate or import are stored in chrome.storage.local.
Vectors of browsing-history titles are computed and cached on your device so you can search your history by meaning. This runs offline.

Uninstalling the extension removes all of this local data.

Data sent to third parties (only when you use the feature)

Google Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com): your messages, recent conversation context, the page content you ask about or ask to summarize, tab/bookmark/history/chat-history entries looked up to answer your question, and images you upload to create a custom pet. Requests use your own API key and are governed by the Gemini API Terms and the Google Privacy Policy. In privacy-first mode, chats and page content are processed only by the on-device model and are not sent to Gemini (custom pet generation excepted).
DuckDuckGo: search terms when you ask the pet to look something up. When the pet reads a search result or a link in your message, it fetches that URL directly.
Open-Meteo: the city name when you ask about the weather.
Hugging Face (or the hf-mirror.com mirror if you choose it): downloading on-device model files. No personal data is sent.
Voice input uses Chrome's built-in speech recognition; audio is handled by the browser under Google's policies.

How permissions are used

Run on all sites: show the pet on the pages you visit, and read the current page when you ask.
Tabs: list, switch, open or close tabs when you ask (closing always asks you to confirm).
Bookmarks, History: search your bookmarks and history when you ask. Read-only.
Storage, Unlimited storage: keep settings, chat history and custom pets on your device.
Offscreen: run the on-device models and vector computation in the background.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
